Shabbat and Festival Services

(Conservative) Kabbalat Shabbat (Friday evening) 6:00 pm
Always filled with melody and ruach (spirit), accompanied by guitar from mid-spring to mid-autumn. Come for an hour of uplift and Shabbat peace.

Shabbat Morning 9:30 – 11:30 am.
Prayer, Torah, song, learning. Traditional Shabbat morning service followed by a sit-down Kiddush luncheon and learning/discussion about biblical or rabbinic texts with Rabbi Kremer.

Festival Evening 6:00 pm (Sukkot, Pesach, Shavuot)
Festival celebrations begin with an informal (and brief) service.

Reform

In a historic, liturgical transition, the Reform wing of Shirat Hayam Synagogue has just introduced the newest edition of the Sabbath-Festival prayer book produced by the Central Conference of American Rabbis (CCAR).

This highly inspirational yet more traditional Siddur is entitled Mishkan T’fillah (“Sanctuary of Prayer”) and replaces the generation-old “Shaarei T’fillah” or “Gates of Prayer

(Reform) Shabbat Service: Friday evening, 7:30 pm
Celebrate Shabbat with a melodic service, abundant in English prayer, with candle-lighting, a Torah service, and beautiful musical leading by our cantorial soloist and keyboard artist. A tasty oneg follows, an opportunity for snacking and schmoozing!
